Well, all the parents on the Nutrilite Kids ‘We Are Growers’ Talk Show disagreed. They said children tend to stick to what they like – whether visually or from taste. This also prevents them from trying new food items. In the long term, they might be missing out on plenty of essential nutrients.
The virtual eRally, held on a Saturday afternoon in a talk show format with parents and nutritionists, kicked off by debunking several kid nutrition myths.
Nutritionist Lee Chih Ying said, “At the end of the day, if you want your child to be strong and healthy, they need to consume plenty of fruits and vegetables. In a day, a child needs at least 3 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruits. If they do not consume this amount, health issues such as stunting, impaired brain development and low immunity levels may occur.”
One way to ensure your kid’s health is on track is by filling their nutritional gaps with supplements. The Nutrilite Kids 4-in-1 Plus and Nutrilite Kids Botanical Beverage Fruits and Vegetables are clear examples. Once the parent and nutritionist segment ended, the eRally continued with a detailed presentation from Nutrilite Research Institute Senior Research Scientist Dr Holiday Durham Zanetti who explained further on the products.
Dr Zanetti, who is a mother herself, said the products were created in an easy and yummy format solely to cater to picky eaters and children who dislike eating fruits and vegetables. The Nutrilite Kids 4-in-1 Plus is packaged in fast-melt sticks with a cooling sensation, while the Botanical Beverage is a tropical-flavoured smoothie that comes in convenient and portable pouches for consumption anytime and anywhere.
Note: The Nutrilite Kids 4-in-1 Plus is currently not available in Malaysia. Stay tuned for the launch of this product! |
She also said parents are always searching for ingredients and food items that are clean, safe, and effective. With Nutrilite, she said parents can be assured that supplements are carefully curated from seed to supplement, placing safe supplements for consumption a priority.
The talk show also featured ABOs and their children who shared personal stories about their eating habits at home. While parents shared their concerns on getting their kids to eat healthy, the children who tasted the Nutrilite Kids supplements gave us cute and cheeky reactions.
Summing it up, the eRally witnessed Nutrilite updates from Nutrition Category Manager Joyce Tan and 10 lucky winners walked away with a box of the Nutrilite Kids Botanical Beverage Fruits and Vegetable smoothie each after correctly answering a health quiz held during the event.
