e3 Carbon Filter & UV-C LED Technology: eSpring’s Dynamic Duo For Clean Healthy Water

Malaysia has always been blessed with beautiful waters, yet modern-day pollution has given rise to a growing environmental issue: water contamination. Apart from the destruction of natural beauty, water contamination can lead to health problems particularly if the contaminated water is consumed unknowingly.

Be it straight from the tap or flowing from a poorly manufactured water purifier, many Malaysians are at risk of drinking water potentially filled with harmful contaminants. This includes bacteria, viruses, cysts, metals, microplastics and pharmaceutical waste.

That’s why it is so important to purify your drinking water with a reputable water purifier. Consider a water purifier that uses a carbon filter and UV-C LED technology to ensure safe, clean and healthy drinking water for you and your family. Finally, it is recommended to drink mineralised water (with calcium and magnesium) for optimum health.

How does the new eSpring Water Purifier reduce harmful water contaminants and provide clean healthy water?

Thanks to its advanced new e3 Carbon Filter and pioneering UV-C LED technology, the eSpring Water Purifier now reduces over 170 potential contaminants for clean and healthy water like never before. The carbon filter and UV-C LEDs are also more sustainable and help care for the environment in the long run, with the hope of providing safe, uncontaminated clean water for generations to come.

Here’s a step-by-step look at what goes on inside the eSpring Water Purifier…

1. Water flows through the eSpring e3 Carbon Filter.

This is where over 170 contaminants (30 more than the e3 Carbon Filter’s predecessor) and over 145 health effect contaminants end their journey. That includes harmful microplastics and potential pharmaceutical waste that may be present in your drinking water.

The upgraded filter components provide 3 layers of premium filtration:

Pre-Filter

Constructed using non-woven material, the pre-filter is made up of tiny strands that overlap to capture more particles. It is pleated for a greater surface area and captures larger, gritty particles such as dirt, sand and scale precipitate to provide clean water.

Defense Guard

Made with a delicate, high-performing membrane and a protective support layer, this asymmetric, microporous film is designed for high flow rate and precise particle capture. The defense guard captures fine particles including microplastics, asbestos and cysts.

Carbon Block

Crafted of activated carbon from coconut shells and a polymer binder, the carbon block reduces dissolved contaminants like lead, mercury, pesticides, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, VOCs, PFOA, and PFOS. The carbon filter serves as a backup to capture any remaining particles and reduces particles down to 0.2 microns, which is 300x smaller than a strand of human hair.

2. Filtered water flows through the UV-C LED chamber.

Here, the eSpring Water Purifier’s UV-C LEDs emit high-energy ultraviolet light in the 267 nanometre wavelength range on average. This effectively kills 99.9% of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses and cysts that may be present in your drinking water.

Because the technology is chemical-free and uses no harmful byproducts, this is a safe and sustainable way to disinfect water. Furthermore, it will not affect the clean water’s taste and odour.

In terms of energy consumption, the UV-C LEDs work on demand. It delivers immediate filtration as soon as your clean water starts flowing, and stops when you turn off the faucet. Therefore, it saves 25% more energy than previous models with maximum output.

The UV-C LEDs are also designed to last up to 10 years1, so annual UV lamp disposal is not required. As a more environmentally friendly solution, the future of clean water treatment looks bright.

Did you know that the eSpring Water Purifier is the only water purifier in the market that uses advanced UV-C LED technology to destroy 99.9% of bacteria, viruses and waterborne cysts? It is also the first water purifier to be certified with NSF/ANSI Standard 55 for CLASS B microbial reduction.

3. Clean and healthy mineralised drinking water flows from the tap into your glass.

You may now safely enjoy the refreshing taste of clean and healthy water, clearly better with visible clarity, essentials minerals like calcium and magnesium and no unpleasant odours. Each sip hydrates your body, contributing to optimum health every day.

Besides that, eSpring has earned the prestigious Water Quality Association Gold Seal for superb consumer water treatment products. It’s a seal of reassurance that your mineralised drinking water is safe, clean and healthy, free from contaminants like microplastics and pharmaceutical waste as well as bacteria, viruses and waterborne cysts. In addition, it’s the first and only brand to offer countertop carbon/UV water treatment systems certified by all four NSF/ANSI Standards: 42, 53, 55 and 401.

To recap, the new eSpring Water Purifier reduces harmful water contaminants and provides clean healthy water through its advanced water filtration system, thanks to the e3 Carbon Filter and UV-C LED technology.
