Although we signed up as ABOs in 2017, we were not ready to build the business then as our second child, Aisyah, was undergoing chemotherapy treatment at University Malaya Medical Centre after being diagnosed with blood cancer.
After this difficult period of our lives was behind us, we started learning about the basics of the business like everyone else, while juggling our duties as parents and teachers. We were fully committed and did not miss any meetings or seminars as our upline Diamond Rahartini Che Isa & Saleh Sulaiman impressed upon us the importance of gaining knowledge to grow the business.
After 2 years, we achieved Founders Platinum and was invited to the 2019 ALS Dubai. We became even more motivated to work hard after that early success. We then managed to achieve Sapphire and qualified for the 2020 ALS Sydney within 10 months. We continued to further our mission and climbed up the ladder of success the following year when we achieved Founders Emerald and was invited for ALS Alaska.
Hence, we would like to thank Founders Executive Diamond Mohd Hilna & Azilila for their guidance. We are also indebted to Diamond Nurul Jihadah Hayati Abdullah & Mohamad Nazri Zuhir. We are at this level of achievement because of all of you.
We encountered many challenges and obstacles on our journey towards achieving the Diamond pin. God tested us once again when Nizam was stricken with a disease that required regular medical treatment. Then, a doctor confirmed that our youngest child had an intellectual disability.
Understandably, these life events would have tested even the best of us. We could have used any of it as justification to stop trying or even quit the business. But we held on and didn’t allow it to weaken our spirits. In fact, it became our motivation for us to work that much harder.
Today, with our Amway bonus, we have been enjoying numerous vacations with our family members, apart from the trips fully sponsored by Amway. I also have the freedom of time to take care of the children and my elderly father.
In a nutshell, all our sacrifices have been worth it. In life, we will never know when we will face difficulties. Fortunately, we heeded our mentor’s advice to prepare for a rainy day. Our mentor was spot on when he advised us to, ‘build the Amway business when you don’t need it, because Amway’s bonus will come in handy when you are in need’.
